ANGIOLOGY PROCEDURES
It is mandatory to present your medical prescription to be able to carry out the tests.
If you are a pregnant woman or if you suspect that you may be so, or if you are breast-feeding,
please notify it to our health staff before performing any test.
All nuclear medicine tests involve the administration of a radiopharmaceutical
with a very low dose of radioactivity, which is eliminated in the following hours through the urinary or digestive routes.
The access of companions to the center is allowed in the case of children and patients who require special attention.
The rest of the patients can come accompanied but, as a health precaution during the pandemic and depending on
the capacity of the waiting room and the criteria of our staff, it is possible that
the companion cannot wait inside the center.

DESCRIPTION: Evaluation of the perfusion of a specific organ.
PREPARATION: No previous preparation is needed.
INDICATIONS: Evaluation of any organ’s perfusion. Diagnosis of thromboembolic or infarct disease.
DURATION OF PROCEDURE: 20 minutes.
DIRECT ISOTOPIC FLEBOGRAPHY
DESCRIPTION: Evaluation of venous circulation, especially of the lower limbs.
PREPARATION: No previous preparation is needed.
INDICATIONS: Evaluation of the functionality of the deep vein system. Study of deep vein thrombosis.
DURATION OF PROCEDURE: 2 to 3 hours.
INDIRECT FLEBOGRAPHY WITH LABELED ERYTHROCYTES
DESCRIPTION: Evaluation of venous circulation, especially of the lower limbs.
PREPARATION: No previous preparation is needed. Bladder should be emptied prior to the realization of images.
INDICATIONS: Evaluation of the functionality of the deep vein system. Study of deep vein thrombosis.
DURATIN OF PROCEDURE: 1 hour.

BONE, GASTRINTESTINAL AND HEPATIC HEMANGIOMAS SCINTIGRAPHY
HEMANGIOMAS TOMOSCINTIGRAPHY (SPET/SPET-CT)
DESCRIPTION: Assessment of the existence and location of focal blood vascular collections (hemangiomas).
PREPARATION: No previous preparation is needed.
INDICATIONS: Diagnostic of hepatic, bone and gastrointestinal hemangiomas.
DURATION OF PROCEDURES: 3 hours.
LYMPHO-SCINTIGRAPHY
DESCRIPTION: Evaluation of lymphatic drainage.
PREPARATION: No previous preparation is needed.
INDICATIONS: Evaluation of primary and secondary lymphoedema. Localization of sentinel lymph-nodes.
DURATION OF PROCEDURE: 20 minutes.
PET-CT FOR THE DIAGNOSIS OF VASCULITIS
DESCRIPTION: Early diagnosis of inflammation of medium and large-caliber blood vessels and evaluation of the extent and degree of extracranial vascular inflammation.
PREPARATION: 6-hour fasting is required before injection.
INDICACIONS: Evaluation of vasculitis of large blood vessels (LBV): Takayasu’s and giant-cell arteritis.
DURATION OF PROCEDURE: 75 minutes.
